James Sanford, CFA, is the Founder and Managing Partner of Arlington Capital Solutions, a boutique investment banking and advisory firm dedicated to lower-middle internet service providers and digital infrastructure operators who are often underbanked by other boutique banking firms with minimum contract objectives.

Jim brings a rare combination of capital markets expertise and hands-on broadband operating experience. He co-founded Digital Infrastructure Group (DIG) in 1q21 and helped raise $200+ million CAD from a global ESG infrastructure fund to launch Alberta Broadband Networks, where he continues to serve on the board. Jim and DIG also structured a wholesale take or pay lease agreement with a major top 3 US incumbent alongside negotiating other anchor tenant, EPC, technology, and backhaul contracts with leading counterparties. Jim has also advised Muni sponsored wholesale and ISP operator fiber projects on paths to financing expansion as well as open access revenue generating strategies.
